International MultiConference of Engineers and Computer Scientists 2006

Hong Kong, 20-22 June, 2006

The 2006 IAENG International Workshop on Scientific Computing and Computational Statistics (IWSCCS'06)

The IWSCCS'06 has the focus on the frontier topics in the theoretical and applied scientific computing and computational statistics subjects and their applications. It serves as good platforms for the scientific computing and computational statistics community members to meet with each other and to exchange ideas.

Scientific Computing is about constructing mathematical models, adapting numerical solution techniques and using computers to analyse scientific and engineering problems. Numerical simulations have different objectives depending on the nature of the task being simulated: to reconstruct and understand known events; to optimise known scenarios; to predict future or unknown situations. And computational Statistics is the study of applying computing algorithms on statistics and vice versa. The workshop will be a forum for computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians to discuss in a variety of fields of statistics.
